Log Cabin Republicans Oppose Challenge to Marriage in New Hampshire

(Washington, DC) – Log Cabin Republicans issue the following statement in response to efforts to strip gay and lesbian couples of the freedom to marry under New Hampshire law.

"The majority of New Hampshire residents – 59 percent – support the fact that their gay and lesbian neighbors now enjoy the freedom to marry, and even more – 63 percent – oppose the current effort to strip that liberty away. There is neither the need nor the desire to vote on this issue again, particularly in a time when fellow Republicans in the state legislature are committed to reducing the size of government, job growth and economic development," stated R. Clarke Cooper, Executive Director of Log Cabin Republicans.
